About Our Founder
Mike Size founded Portside in 2009. Mike developed his financial analysis skills working for commercial finance companies including two Fortune 50 companies -- GE Capital and Wells Fargo Bank. He has studied businesses with large, complex corporate structures while financing multi-million dollar projects on the West Coast. As a Montana banker, Mike worked with local finance entities that specialized in small businesses. This diverse background gives Mike unique insights when working with companies of any size.
In addition to more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector, Mr. Size has completed more than 2,000 business valuations nationally. He earned his MBA in 2002, and became a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) in 2009. In 2016, he completed the rigorous credential of Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers. This is considered the highest credential in business valuation.
